Our story
Katie Halligan is the Broker/Owner of Beam Real Estate. She started as a sales associate in 2014 and took the broker's test in 2017 to become a Broker Associate. She has continued to hone her skills so she can bring the best real estate services to her clients in rural Northwest Iowa.
Katie was born in Pocahontas, Iowa, has purchased not only her very first home in the Pocahontas Area, but even after moving away for a few years she couldn't resist the pull of the Princess City. Along with her husband and three kids, Katie has settled in the area for the last decade after spending a few short years on the eastern side of the state. She is a wealth of information about the Pocahontas and Calhoun county areas.
A member of the National Association of Realtors, Iowa Association of Realtors, and Northwest Iowa Board of Realtors, Katie feels strongly that everyone should have an agent they trust and that will answer their questions. Education, guidance, and patient understanding are strengths that Katie brings to the table. She also enjoys making sure the client has the opportunity to communicate effectively with their agent whether it is by text, phone calls, emails, or even FaceTime showings if you are across the country!

Our story
Donna Hudson is the Broker Associate at Beam Real Estate. She began her real estate career in 1981 and obtained her broker’s license in 1993. She also obtained her CRS and GRI degrees in 2006. Donna specializes in both residential and farm real estate. Having been raised on a farm in Pocahontas County and having lived in Pocahontas nearly all of her adult life, she has extensive knowledge of both agricultural and residential properties.
Donna is the mother of two adult children. She is actively involved in Hope United Methodist Church where she is an organist and serves on numerous committees. She is also an active member of the Pocahontas Women’s Club and has enjoyed serving on several fund-raising committees for the community including the Rialto Theater and the Pocahontas Inn & Suites. Donna is a past secretary of the United Counties Board of Realtors and is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Iowa Association of Realtors and Northwest Iowa Board of Realtors.
